Welcome to Synap! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the synap.au website (the "Site") and the AI services provided by Synap AI Pty Ltd ("Synap", "we", "us").

By accessing the Site or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.


1. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.


2. Billing and Subscriptions

Our services are billed on a subscription basis ("Subscriptions").

  • **Manual Billing:** For your convenience, we securely store a payment method token with our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your credit card number.
  • **Billing Cycle:** We will generate an invoice for your monthly fee and any overages (e.g., extra agent interactions) at the start of your billing cycle, defined by your `nextbill` date.
  • **Payment:** We will attempt to charge your card on file within 6 hours of the invoice being generated. If the payment fails, we will notify you and may retry the charge according to our billing policy.
  • **Cancellation:** You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting support.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents and data you upload to our service ("Your Content"). We will not use Your Content for any purpose other than to provide the service to you. We will not use Your Content to train models for other customers.


4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synap AI Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.


5. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
